STEVE CHURM
PRESIDENT
Steve Churm owns one of the leading regional media companies in Southern California, publishing 5 magazine titles, including OC METRO BUSINESS, OCmenus.com, OC Family, Inland Empire Family and Southland Golf. Total circulation for the 5 titles is more than 400,000 monthly. Churm Media also has 9 interactive websites, including 4 stand-alone sites, autocertified.com, buscarauto.com, homeandoutdoor.com and bodybeautifuloc.com. The company’s total audience, print and online, is more than 1.5 million readers per month. Churm also owns RipeOrange, a marketing, communications and design firm developed to better serve clients and develop custom media and event opportunities.

Besides overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company, Churm spends time as a speaker/presenter for business and leading community events. He shares his knowledge and experience by providing expert advice and insight for business seminars and industry-related publications and websites. He has been recognized as an industry leader in business by local and national media, including FOLIO: Magazine. 

Before launching Newport Beach-based Churm Media in 1990, Churm worked for 4 California newspapers as a reporter and editor, including 6 years at the Los Angeles Times covering California politics and the environment. Churm currently serves on 3 nonprofit boards, including the Orange County Business Council, Irvine Chamber of Commerce and Human Options -- a nationally recognized organization raising awareness about domestic violence. Married with three children and living in Irvine, Churm studied journalism and geography at California Polytechnic State University San Luis Obispo. Churm’s personal passions include surfing, skiing, cooking, reading John Grisham novels and teaching.

Brian O'Neill
Chief Financial Officer of Churm Media and RipeOrange

Brian has been with the company since 1988 and CFO since 2004. He oversees all business and financial operations of the company, including accounting, budgeting and forecasting. He is integral in the company’s strategic planning and operations. He serves as an active member of the Churm Media management team. His interests include golfing, working out, collecting presidential memorabilia and spending time with his family.

Kimberly Porrazzo
Chief Content Officer

As Churm Media’s CCO (chief content officer), Kimberly Porrazzo oversees the company’s 5 magazine titles as well as its web products. Porrazzo began her career with Churm Media in 1998 as a columnist for OC Family Magazine, where she penned the award-winning Mother Knows column for nearly 8 years. She later served as editor for OC METRO Business Magazine and was named CCO in early 2008. Porrazzo's most memorable career experiences include interviews with Angels' owner Arte Moreno (while watching a game together) and Martha Stewart. In a reversal of roles, Porrazzo was interviewed by Katie Couric as a guest on NBC's Today Show. She has been featured in the pages of Business Week, Entrepreneur, Smart Money and Working Mother Magazines. An author and two-time contributor to the best-selling "Chicken Soup for the Soul" series, Porrazzo lives in South Orange County with her husband and two sons.

Guida Quon
Vice President of Sales/Human Resources

As one of the original members of OC METRO BUSINESS Magazine, Guida has been with the brand and the company for 26 years. She is the vice president of sales, overseeing a variety of sales operations and programs. Additionally, she is the human resources manager for the company and an account executive for the John Wayne Airport area of Newport Beach, Irvine, Costa Mesa, and Tustin. Guida lives with husband in West Floral Park, Santa Ana. She enjoys her children and grandchildren, and is a passionate gardener.

ROB LYON
ASSOCIATE PUBLISHER / SALES MANAGER, SOUTHLAND GOLF

Rob, along with Eric Marson, co-founded the company when it launched in 1995 as Orange County Golf magazine. Two more publications — Los Angeles Golf and San Diego County Golf — soon followed. In 2000, the magazines were acquired by Churm Media and in 2005, the three titles merged to become Southland Golf magazine. With more than 20 years of journalism experience, Rob is responsible for managing advertising sales and day-to-day operations of the company. A resident of Rancho Santa Margarita, he has been playing golf since the age of 10 and can usually break 90 if the course is not generously white-staked. He enjoys spending his free time with his wife and two children, managing youth sports teams and playing pick-up games of basketball twice a week.

ERIC MARSON
ASSOCIATE PUBLISHER / EDITOR, SOUTHLAND GOLF

Eric, along with Rob Lyon, co-founded the company when it launched in 1995 as Orange County Golf magazine. Two more publications — Los Angeles Golf and San Diego County Golf — soon followed. In 2000, the magazines were acquired by Churm Media and in 2005 the three titles merged to become Southland Golf. With more than 20 years of journalism experience, Eric is responsible for Southland Golf’s editorial content and oversees a staff of a dozen writers and photographers. He’s been playing golf since the age of 8 and every now and then can break 80. In his free time, when he’s not in front of a good magazine or taking in a movie, he likes to play both his electric and acoustic guitars and has recently become infatuated with the Delta blues. He resides in Aliso Viejo with his wife and their two cats.

Jill Perisich
Director of Advertising

Jill has been an influential member of the Churm Media staff for 18 years. She serves as the director of advertising, overseeing sales strategies and client relations for OC METRO BUSINESS Magazine and OCMENUS.com. In addition, she manages a sales territory comprised of 3 of Orange County’s largest cities: Costa Mesa, Santa Ana and Huntington Beach. Jill is married with two children. Her hobbies include cooking, reading, traveling and spending time with her family.

Victoria Paré
Production Director

Victoria has been creatively impacting the company for more than 14 years. She manages the Churm Media art department and staff, as well as directs the overall production of our 5 publications. She is responsible for managing the schedules, operations and printer relations for the company. In addition, she is the art director for Southland Golf magazine. Her hobbies include photography, dance, major league baseball games, spending time with friends and attempting the art of golf (still in progress). 

Michellee Phelps
Director of Marketing

Michellee joined Churm Media in 2001 shortly after earning her degree in Communications/Advertising from Cal State Fullerton. As the Director of Marketing, she implements the marketing strategies, special events and sponsorships for Churm Media's 5 magazine titles and 9 interactive websites. Prior to her position, Michellee was an OC METRO BUSINESS Account Executive and Special Event Specialist with the Disneyland Resort and Irvine Improv. She is happily married, enjoys shopping, planning parties and relaxing in Hawaii.

JOHN MILLER
ART DIRECTOR

John Miller has worked as an art director and editor at numerous publications, including Vanity Fair and Esquire. In the past 20 years, he has helped several companies re-engineer or launch brands and brand extensions, among them Target, MSNBC, Oracle, The New Yorker, The Los Angeles Times, Bank of America, The San Francisco Chronicle, and The Department of Defense. He currently acts as Brand director for Churm Media and Bonnier Corporation.

Anna Romiti
Vice President, RipeOrange

As vice president of RipeOrange, a marketing, communications and design firm, Anna oversees all client relations, employees and day-to-day operations of the company. She is an integral part of the strategic development of the company’s goals and initiatives. Anna has worked in marketing and public relations for more than 7 years, beginning her career as Churm Media’s director of marketing. While holding the director of marketing position, she created and executed the strategic marketing campaigns for Churm Media, its 9 niche brands and 4 annual events. She earned her degree in communications from Chapman University. Anna is married with 1 child and lives in South County. She enjoys running and spending time with her family.
